When the entire device is in power-down mode (address Ox7, bit 0 is set t0 1), the crystal circuitry is also powered down and draws minimal current (see below). However, if the main and auxiliary synthesizers are in power-down (address Ox7, bits 4 and l are set t0 1), the crystal oscillator is left running.
