For safe operation, the unit must be installed in an enclosure which prevents accidental contact with hazardous voltages,by providing appropriate insulation or guarding. If the enclosure is made of a conducting material or the internal surfaces have a conductive coating, ensure that no part of the power supply willcome into contact withit, and maintain an air gap clearance of minimum 10mm. The mains lead to the unit must be fused with a lOOmA fuse. In general, it is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the incorporation of the power supply unit into the OEM equipment conforms to the relevant sections of EN 60742,in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD 93/68/EEC).

Note l: This parameter is periodically sampled and not 100% tested. 2: twc begins on the rising edge ofCS after a valid write sequence and ends when the internal self-timed write cycle is complete. 3: This parameter is not tested but guaranteed by characterization. For endurance estimates in a specific appli cation, please consult the Total Endurance Model which can be obtained on our BBS or website.
The gm error amplifier measures the LED current through the external sense resistor and amplifies the error between the detected signal and the 200mV reference voltage. The output of the gm error amplifier provides the voltage-loop signal that is fed to the other input of the PWM generator. When the current-loop signal exceeds the voltage-loop signal, the PWM generator turns off the bipolar output transistor. The next clock period initiates the next switching cycle, maintaining the constant frequency current-mode PWM control. The LED current is set by the feedback resistor:
