N8842AH-Z8L on stock An aneroid capsule with attached magnet is the most important component in this differential-pressure sensor. A pressure connector is attached to the capsule and a Hall element is giued to the housing base. The measurement is carried out by routing the monitored medium through the pres- sure connector and into the aneroid capsule. Application of pressure causes a change in the distance between the magnet and the Hall element on the hous- ing base. Since the Hall element generates a voltage which is proportional to the magnetic inductance, this results in a clear correlation between measured pressure and output voltage. An electronic thick-film circuit carries out signal amplification and temperature- compensation. The pressure sensor gener- ates an analog output signal which is ratio- metric to the supply voltage. The sensor's measuring accuracy can be adversely affected by powerful magnetic fields (e.g. from generators/alternators and/or electric motors).
