NA110SG Datasheet The bipolar common emitter transistor, Qland the op amp establishes threshold hysteresis by turning on when the threshold comparator goes to a HIGH state (when Vcc sags to or below the threshold level). With the output of Q2 connected to the non-inverting terminal of the op amp, the non-inverting terminal of the op amp has a level near ground at about 0.4 V when the reset is asserted (Active-LOW). For the op amp to reverse its output, the comparator output and Ql must overcome the additional pull-down voltage present on the op amp inverting input. The differential voltage required to do this establishes the hysteresis voltage of the sensed threshold voltage. Typically it is 50 mV. NA110SG Price NOTES: 1. The speafied limits represent the worst case values for the parameter. Since these worst case values normally occur at the supply voltage and temperature extremes, additional noise immunity can be achieved by decreasing the allowable operating condition ranges. 2. Conditions for testing shown in the tables are not necessarily worst case. For worst case testing guidelines, refer to DC Testing, Chapter 1 Section 3. 3. The specified limits shown in the DC electrical characteristics table can be met only after thermal equilibrium has been established. Thermal equilibrium is established by applying power for at least 2 minutes, while maintaining transverse airflow of 2.5 meters/sec (500 linear feeVmin) over the device, mounted either in a test socket or on a printed circuit board. Test voltage values are given in the DC operating conditions table. 4. The device can function down to VEE = -5.7V, allowing operation with either the 10K or the 10KH family. Correction factors can be used to calculate new DC limits for the extended VEE range. For more iniormation, see Chapters 5 and 10, Section 4. NA110SG on stock Shutdown/Auto-restart To minimize TOPSwitch power dissipation, the shutdown/ auto-restart circuit turns the power supply on and offat an auto- restart duty cycle of typically 5% if an out of regulation condition persists. Loss of regulation interrupts the external current into the CONTROL pin. Vc regulation changes from shunt mode to the hysteretic auto-restart mode described above. A DC voltage applied to Pin 6 (PWM input) will set 8MAX at a value in accordance with Figure 11. For low tolerances of 8MAX, this voltage on Pin 6 should be set with a resistor divider from Vz (Pin 2) The upper and lower sawtooth levels are also set by means of an internal resistor divider from Vz, so forming a bridge configuration with the 8MAX setting is low because tolerances in Vz are compensated and the sawtooth levels are determined by internal resistor matching rather than by absolute resistor tolerance. Figure 12 can be used for determining the tap on the bleeder for a certain 8MAX setting. |
