System Considerations The power switching characteristics of Advanced CMOS EPROMs require careful decoupling of the devices. The supply current, Icc, has three seg- ments that are of interest to the system designer: the standby current level, the active current level, and transient current peaks that are produced by the falling and rising edges of E. The magnitude of the transient current peaks is dependent on the capacitive and inductive loading of the device at the output.

- A special bit (bit 5 0r 6) in Register 9 is set t0 1. If R9b5 is set t0 1, light grey is obtained on output. If R9b6 is set t0 1, dark grey is obtained on output. In the case where R9b5 and R9b6 are set t0 0, the normal operation is provided on output signals.
